Ides

I have been busy. I will continue to be busy until May 18th. From now until then, I cannot foresee more than maybe three days in which I can keep away from productivity--and even so, I'd probably spend at least an hour putting one of my projects together for ACen.

This weekend I have expected to be hellish for a while--it has yet to strike with full force, but it will do so very soon. I have three papers due by Thursday--the most important is due Tuesday. I should be able to start writing it in paragraph form tomorrow evening . . . having spent ~6 hours researching & thesis drafting inbetween doing the same (but for only about 2 hours) for the Thursday paper, and also finalizing the Burning Five DVD such that I can burn 100 copies to put in my 100 empty DVD cases.

I added "director's commentary" subtitles to the DVD . . . I didn't have to. I'm still trying to understand why I took the time & energy to do so--it ate up about five hours that I really should have spent on my final papers.

Fortunately, putting things together for ACen, as labor-intensive as it all is, has very tangible results--that will hopefully lead to some replenishing of my bank account. I'm aiming to bring enough stuff so that to sell out completely I'll take home over $1,000--hoping to sell at least a third of the inventory I bring ($350 would be a slight profit).

Also, my copy of the new Russian Circles CD arrived Thursday. After my first listen-through, I was a bit skeptical and worried . . . but listening to it a second time, and importantly while a lot more alert (instead of immediately following classes), and I am enjoying most of the new songs.

This post is primarily an itemization taken to hopefully unload some of the varied things I'm mentally processing--there is a lot that I have gotten done, but there is even more to get done . . . and I very much want to avoid burning out.
